Films I have chosen:

• Panic Room
• Se7en
• The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

I have chosen these three films as they all relate in several different ways, Panic Room, Se7en and The Girl With The dragon Tattoo are directed by David Fincher. They all include similar storylines and are all of the genre of horror.

In this piece of work I will write about the four films and how they link.

Thriller Genre-

Thriller Film is a genre that revolves around anticipation and suspense. The aim for Thrillers is to keep the audience alert and on the edge of their seats. The protagonist in these films is set against a problem – an escape, a mission, or a mystery. No matter what sub-genre a Thriller film falls into, it will emphasize the danger that the protagonist faces. The tension with the main problem is built on throughout the film and leads to a highly stressful climax.

Panic Room

• Storyline: A woman and her daughter become imprisoned in the panic room of their own house.
• Genre: Crime/ Thriller

•  The Twilight Saga- Kristen is best known for the Twilight films, which helps Panic Room build up a fan base, more people will watch it if they enjoy watching Kristen Stewart on screen.- Drama/Fantasy/Romance.

Brad Pitt as- Detective David Mills

Brad Pitt is a famous Hollywood actor and is known worldwide. Fans of his are both women and men, he is known for his great parts in films and good looks. He would make the film popular with his large fan base and is often seen in action films. Films of his include:

Morgan Freeman as- Detective Lt. William Somerset

Morgan Freeman is also a highly popular, greatly respected American actor. He has been in other films such as:

Gwyneth Paltrow as- Tracy Mills

The daughter of noted producer Bruce Paltrow and award-winning actress Blythe Danner. She has been in other films such as:

Daniel Craig is one of British theatre's most famous faces and is known for playing the role of 'James Bond'. He has been in other films such as:

Rooney Mara as- Lisbeth Salander

All three films are directed by David Fincher, who directs many films of the genre thriller, his films also include many of the same actors too. All three films are thrillers too just like our film as it will be a horror/ thriller.
